Tsenta vs Massive, $99/mo for 200 apps and 23 onboarding steps
Massive+ is $99/mo for up to 200 jobs/month. that's $0.50 per application, 23 onboarding steps, and a 4-day trial that requires a credit card. honest breakdown.
Massive+ is $99 a month for up to 200 applications.
that's 50 cents per application at their most popular tier. it's also 23 onboarding steps before the bot does anything, a 4-day trial that requires a credit card upfront, and an onboarding question that asks "how many interviews do you want" as if interview invitations are theirs to grant.
let's get specific.
what Massive actually is
UseMassive bills itself as "your job search on autopilot." they have two paid tiers, billed monthly or quarterly:
Monthly:
- Passive: $49/mo, up to 50 jobs/mo, sourced from "500K+ standard job sites," autopilot daily, 30-day money-back, cancel anytime
- Massive+ (most popular): $99/mo, up to 200 jobs/mo, sourced from "2M+ jobs including Workday, iCIMS, etc," autopilot daily, custom resumes and cover letters, priority support
Quarterly (save 33%):
- Passive: $99 / 3 months ($33/mo equivalent), up to 150 jobs per quarter
- Massive+: $199 / 3 months ($67/mo equivalent), up to 600 jobs per quarter
both tiers offer a 4-day Massive+ free trial, but you have to enter a credit card to start it. there's no free-as-in-actually-free way to try the product.

they market hard on social proof. "1,000+ interviews landed last week," "trusted by 100,000+ jobseekers," logos for TikTok, OpenAI, Stripe, Netflix on the homepage. they're a real, polished product with a real team. that's not in question.
what's in question is what you actually get for $99/mo.
where Massive falls short
a few things to be honest about:
-
the math at the most popular tier is wild. $99 a month, up to 200 applications. that's $0.50 per application. and 200/mo isn't a "starter" cap, it's their flagship tier. the cheaper Passive tier is even worse on a per-app basis: $49 for 50 jobs/mo is $0.98 per application. almost a dollar per submission, for software that's doing the form-filling.
-
23-step onboarding. i'm not exaggerating. before you see anything happen, you walk through 23 separate screens asking about your background, preferences, goals, timing, location, salary, you name it. some of it is reasonable setup. most of it feels like a survey designed to qualify you into a higher tier.
-
one of those questions is "how many interviews do you want?" which is presumptuous in a way worth flagging. Massive doesn't grant interviews. companies do. asking a user to pre-commit to an interview count makes for a clean onboarding flow and an honest pitch becomes a misleading one.
-
there's no actual free tier. the "4-day trial" requires a credit card upfront. if you forget to cancel, you're billed. that's the standard subscription-trap pattern. cloud appliers in this category should let you try without commitment, because the whole point of the product is something you have to experience to know if it works.
-
the tier structure is confusing on purpose. the cheaper Passive tier sources from "500K+ standard job sites" but the Massive+ tier specifically itemizes "Workday, iCIMS, etc." which implies Passive doesn't have those. you only find out which ATSes your bot reaches by reading carefully across both tier descriptions.
-
web-only. no desktop app, no Chrome extension, no MCP integration, no mobile, no SMS. you're tied to their web UI, on one device.
-
transparency varies. they do tell you the application can be previewed before send, which is more than most cloud appliers. but it's not a "watch the bot work" experience. you preview, you trust, applications go out.
where tsenta is different
i'll be direct: we built tsenta to be the cheaper, higher-volume, multi-surface version of what Massive is selling.
-
tiered subscriptions: $19/mo Starter (600 applications), $39/mo Pro (1500 applications, most popular), $99/mo Power (4500 applications). Quarterly saves up to 32%. Annual saves up to 36%. every tier includes AI-powered resume optimization, automated OTP filling, and priority support.
-
the per-app math at our most popular tier is $39 / 1500 = $0.026 per application. Massive+ is $99 / 200 = $0.50 per application. ours is 19x cheaper per submission.
-
at the same $99/mo price point, our Power tier gives you 4500 applications. Massive+ gives you 200. same sticker, 22.5x more volume.
-
if you don't want a subscription, credit packs: $19 for 200 credits, $39 for 600, $99 for 2000. credits never expire. Massive has no one-time option.
-
free tier to actually try before paying. 25 applications total, no time limit, full Pro features. no card required. you can submit real applications and see real results before you give us a payment method. Massive's 4-day trial wants your credit card before you've used the bot.
-
minimal onboarding. set your resume, set your preferences, go. Massive's 23-step funnel is doing a different job than onboarding.

-
8 surfaces to apply from. web dashboard at app.tsenta.com, native desktop on Mac/Win/Linux, Android app, iOS app (pending App Store review), Chrome extension, MCP for Claude and ChatGPT, iMessage bot, WhatsApp bot. you can text a job link from your phone and the application goes out. Massive is web-only.
-
ATS coverage we itemize honestly across every tier, no asterisks: Workday, Greenhouse, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Lever, iCIMS, Oracle Cloud, Workable, Paylocity, JazzHR, BambooHR, Jobvite, Rippling, BreezyHR, UltiPro. you don't have to read the small print to know what's covered.

the full comparison across every cloud applier is at /blog/tsenta-vs-competitors.
honestly, for the same $99/mo Massive charges for 200 applications, tsenta Power does 4500. that's not a comparison, that's a different category of product.
(if you're already in the 23-step onboarding flow at Massive, just take that as your sign.)
