Role Overview

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Account Executive to drive mid-market and enterprise sales across the US market. As the first Senior Account Executive, you will play a foundational role in building the sales playbook, shaping the sales culture, and establishing processes that support future team growth.

You will own the complete sales cycle across an assigned US territory, engaging senior decision-makers such as Chief Data Officers (CDOs), Heads of Data, and VPs of Analytics. The role combines inbound and Business Development Representative (BDR)-generated opportunities with proactive outbound prospecting to build a strong, predictable pipeline.

You will work closely with dedicated Solutions Engineers on complex opportunities, leading technical Proofs of Concept (PoCs), developing business cases, negotiating commercial terms, and closing deals. This is an opportunity for an experienced B2B SaaS sales professional to make a significant impact while retaining a strong individual-contributor focus, with future opportunities to grow into strategic enterprise accounts or sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Territory and Pipeline Ownership: Manage the US mid-market and enterprise territory, building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline through inbound leads, BDR-generated opportunities, and outbound prospecting.
• Outbound Prospecting: Develop structured outbound strategies through account mapping, multi-channel outreach, and coordinated engagement with BDRs.
• End-to-End Sales Execution: Own the complete sales cycle, from discovery and qualification to technical PoCs, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Enterprise Stakeholder Management: Lead multi-threaded sales engagements involving business and technical stakeholders, including CDOs, Heads of Data, and VPs of Analytics.
• Sales Methodology: Apply MEDDPICC to understand buying committees, identify economic buyers, qualify opportunities, and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
• Business Case Development: Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to build ROI-driven business cases that demonstrate business value and the cost of inaction.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain pipeline coverage of at least 3x through consistent prospecting, opportunity development, and effective deal management.
• CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot to ensure clear pipeline visibility, reporting, and forecasting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with BDRs and Solutions Engineers to improve opportunity conversion and deliver a strong customer experience.
• Sales Playbook Development: Establish repeatable sales processes, contribute to the sales playbook, and help define the standards for future sales team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, including significant experience carrying and achieving new-business sales quotas.
• Recent experience working in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a clear understanding of the strategies and activities driving results.
• Proven ability to independently generate pipeline through cold outreach and outbound prospecting.
• Experience managing complex mid-market or enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Confidence engaging senior business and technical decision-makers, particularly in data and analytics functions.
• Sufficient technical understanding to lead detailed discussions around data platforms, analytics, and technology solutions.
• Willingness and flexibility to work US-aligned hours, typically from 6 PM to 3 AM IST.
• Familiarity with selling from India into the US market.
