Position Summary
The Service Supervisor supports the overall operation of the front end by helping lead, coach, and develop associates while delivering excellent customer service. This role helps ensure checkout operations run efficiently, company procedures are followed, and customers receive a friendly, accurate, and professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt, and professional customer service.
- Supervise and support front-end associates during assigned shifts.
- Help coordinate cashier coverage, breaks, lunches, and daily front-end activities.
- Monitor checkout lanes and respond to changing customer traffic to maintain efficient service.
- Assist customers with questions, concerns, refunds, and other service-related needs.
- Help resolve customer concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
- Coach associates on customer service expectations, operational procedures, and job performance.
- Support the training and development of new and existing associates.
- Promote teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work environment.
- Ensure cash-handling and front-end procedures are followed accurately.
- Assist with register functions, transactions, overrides, and other authorized front-end activities.
- Monitor the front end for cleanliness, organization, safety, and proper presentation.
- Help ensure supplies and equipment are available and functioning properly.
- Communicate operational concerns, staffing needs, customer issues, and associate performance matters to management.
- Follow company policies, safety standards, security procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Assist other departments and perform additional duties as business needs require.

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to provide direction and coach associates effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Dependable, professional, and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations appropriately.
- Previous retail, customer service, cashier, or leadership experience is preferred.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform other physical activities associated with retail operations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
