Substitute Teacher Teacher's Aide Work as a… at United Care… · Denver

The final bell rings, but your time with kids doesn't have to end. Substitute teachers, teacher's aides, and paraprofessionals: turn your afternoons into steady income working 1:1 with kids across Colorado.

You already do the hard part.

New classroom, new kids, new plan, and you still make it work. You walk in, read the room, and get kids focused, trying again, and smiling about it. You work with children, you love that part of your day, and you're good at it. Now let's build on it.

Real talk: teachers and substitute teachers are some of the most underpaid people in this country. Until the world catches up and makes you one of the highest paid professions in the nation, you need us. And honestly? We need you.

Let's pair up.

Your school day ends. Your next shift begins.

Start as a Behavior Technician (BT), working 1:1 with kids in their own homes after school. Then level up to Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). We'll guide you through your RBT certification every step of the way.

Same kids each week, so you get to see real progress. Same skills you already use. Same kids-first heart. More income and a real credential.

How It Works:

• Start with in-home sessions after school, Monday through Friday

• Weekend hours available too

• School's out for summer? Take on more cases and more hours

• We're opening clinics, so afternoon clinic work may be an option down the road

Right now, we're asking you to partner with us at this stage and grow with us as we build.

What You Get:

• After-school hours that fit around your sub days

• Support earning your RBT certification

• BCBAs who mentor, not micromanage

• Regular team huddles and check-ins, so you're never stuck on an island

• BT and RBT Spotlights, because your wins get noticed

Room to Grow:

Start as a BT, earn your RBT, and grow into a Lead RBT role. Or think bigger. Your next step could be becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). BCBAs work in schools, in ABA companies, and beyond.

When you decide to go for it and head back to school, we're with you. We partner with our best RBTs to help them get there, and along the way, we offer scholarships to those we recognize as part of our long-term community.

What You'll Do:

• Provide 1:1 ABA sessions in the child's home under BCBA supervision

• Follow each child's individualized treatment plan

• Collect accurate session data

• Help kids build communication, social, and daily living skills

• Stay in touch with your clinical supervisor

Who We're Looking For:

• Substitute teachers, teacher's aides, paraprofessionals, and anyone who's great with kids

• Willing to complete RBT certification (we'll help you get there)

• Experience in schools or developmental settings (preferred, not required)

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and open to feedback

Care without chaos. Teamwork without drama.

We see you. We support you. We mean it.
