Pre Sales Solution Manager at Trusting Social · Jakarta

OVERVIEW

We advance data science and technology to bring financial inclusion for all, on a scale never before possible. Currently, Trusting Social has become the biggest and fastest-growing credit risk assessment organization. We are on a trajectory to enable credit lines for a billion people, with our platform’s launch in other Asian countries including Indonesia, India and Philippines. Funded by leading VCs, we turned profitable just 3 months post-launch in Vietnam. Headquarter in Singapore, our teams are distributed among Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Melbourne, Jakarta, Manila, Dhaka, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon and Mumbai.

The company is led by a dynamic group of seasoned entrepreneurs, technologists and scientists seeking to disrupt the lending space and democratize access to capital for billions of underserved consumers. Trusting Social’s leadership team comprises highly accomplished and internationally recognised professionals from around the world. We have 23 (and counting) PhD data scientists, business leaders from companies like Goldman Sachs, Standard Chartered, BajajFin, Credit Suisse & Vodafone and an engineering leadership team battle tested at Amazon, Microsoft & Google.

THE CORE OF WHAT WE DO

We are one of the strongest data science & technology players driving financial inclusion in emerging markets. We apply our algorithms to petabytes of data, primarily from Telecom Operators in-country, to profile credit risk of individuals, while protecting their privacy through encryption and anonymisation of data processed on our platform.

Our proprietary risk assessment model that sits at the core of our platform is proven to outperform current models in use (measured in terms of GINI coefficient) and has enabled access to credit for an additional 40% of the population in emerging markets. These are people who’ve never had any kind of prior banking exposure and now are accessible and visible to the formal financial economy.

Trusting Social is looking to grow a team of zealous advocates of our cause who can identify, build and sustain commercial relationships with very prominent businesses in a fast- changing and complex landscape.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

You are the bridge between a client's real business problem and our AI/ML product suite. Working closely with Sales, Product and Engineering, you dig into how a client actually works: their workflows, data, systems and commercial model. Then you design a workable solution that fits it today, not in two years. You own the problem-solution fit end-to-end, from the first discovery conversation to a successful Proof of Concept and a realistic scope of work. Your success shows up as POCs that convert, clients who trust our technical judgment, and deals that close on validated value.

You thrive here if you would rather build a scrappy POC that works than write a polished roadmap that sits on a shelf. You listen carefully before proposing anything, you can read the room in a boardroom and an engineering stand-up equally well, and you are comfortable changing the plan when the data says so. You are not bound by how solutions have traditionally been sold. You question assumptions, try new approaches quickly, and keep raising the bar for how fast a client can see real value.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Client Discovery and Solution Design

• Lead deep-dive discovery with clients to uncover their real pain points, workflows, data landscape and business model, beyond the stated request.
• Design grounded, agile solutions across our Big Data/Analytics, Computer Vision and Conversational AI products, covering data flows, API integration points and fit with the client's existing tech stack.
• Turn discovery insights and data into clear solution recommendations that map directly to the client's business outcomes.

POC Ownership and Execution

• Own each POC end-to-end: define success criteria, build the plan, coordinate with the client's technical team, and direct internal engineering resources to deliver.
• Track POC metrics closely, flag risks early, and make in-flight calls to keep delivery on track without waiting for escalation.
• Turn POC results into evidence-based business cases that win both technical and business validation.

Technical Translation and Deal Support

• Present solution architecture with equal clarity to client executives and engineering teams.
• Act as the technical authority in Sales and Product meetings: answer deep technical questions, handle objections, and build client confidence.
• Scope SOWs and contracts (PKS) with realistic technical milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria that protect both sides.

Product Feedback Loop

• Synthesize patterns from client conversations and POCs into actionable input for the Product team on gaps, priorities and product-market fit.
• Document reusable solution patterns, integration playbooks and edge cases so each new engagement starts faster than the last.

AI-Enabled Ways of Working

• Use AI tools daily to speed up discovery research, solution documentation, proposal drafting and POC analysis.
• Prototype and test AI-assisted workflows that cut the time from first meeting to validated POC.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience & Background

• 3 to 8 years of experience in technology or financial institutions, ideally as a Pre-Sales or Solution Engineer, Technical or Implementation Manager, or Technical Business Analyst in AI, SaaS, Cloud, Big Data, Fintech, Banking or Telco.
• Exposure to product work, such as contributing to product design, discovery or product-market fit exercises. A background spanning Product, Growth or Project Management is strongly preferred over a pure sales profile.
• Proven experience in fast-paced environments. A startup or tech background is a strong plus.
• Experience in the lending industry is a plus.
• Extensive cross-team collaboration experience. Exposure to regional or global counterparts is a plus.

How You Work

• You use AI actively in your daily work and have at least one year of hands-on experience. You write clear prompts, critically evaluate outputs before they reach a client, and use AI to widen the scope of what you can deliver.
• You take initiative and move without waiting to be told. When a POC stalls, you are already testing the next approach and getting your hands dirty to produce real results.
• You connect business, data, engineering and commercial perspectives, and coordinate smoothly across Sales, Product, Engineering and client teams.
• You learn continuously and on your own, picking up new AI capabilities, client domains and technical patterns, and you treat every lost deal or failed POC as input to get better.
• You are comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor in a lean, small-team setup.

Skills & Competencies

• Business Owner: You own POC outcomes and deal validation end-to-end, and make the calls needed to get there without waiting for central approval.
• Domain Expert: You know our AI products and client integration patterns well enough to teach them, with edge cases covered and documented for the next engagement.
• Product Architect: You prototype working solutions quickly, read the metrics, and act on what the data shows rather than on what was originally planned.
• Consultative problem solving: you identify what a client needs, not only what they ask for.
• Grounded solution design and architecture, including data flows, API integrations and working within existing client stacks.
• Strong executive presentation skills, with a commercial polish that holds up in front of both C-level stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Ability to scope SOWs and contracts with realistic technical milestones.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written, professional fluency required).
• High adaptability and comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
