Job Description
Summary: Trimble Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in developing and maintaining data transformation workflows API services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting scalable, secure, and high-performance API solutions for data workflows at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain components for data transformation workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions
- Ensure high-quality, secure, and efficient code using best practices in container development
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Maintain documentation and contribute to code reviews
- Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in cloud and containerization
Required Qualifications:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government is a condition of employment, and U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite for this process
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Hands-on experience with container development best practices
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other data pipelining/orchestration technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FedRAMP and/or GovCloud environments
- Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools or workflows
- Prior experience working with data pipelines and orchestration tools
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements in regulated environments
- Experience configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters
- Exposure to additional programming languages (e.g., Go, Java)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in the context of data workflows
