Role overview:

We are looking for a hands-on, performance-oriented Sales Trainer – B2B SaaS Inside Sales to strengthen the capabilities and productivity of our inside sales team.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in B2B sales, practical experience in sales coaching, and the ability to convert sales best practices into measurable business outcomes. You will be responsible for onboarding new sales hires, developing sales competencies, conducting call audits, coaching team members, and improving sales funnel conversions.

This role requires someone who understands the realities of selling SaaS solutions to business owners and decision-makers, can identify gaps in sales conversations, and can coach sales representatives to communicate value, handle objections, and close deals effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Onboarding & Training

• Design and deliver structured onboarding programs for new Inside Sales Executives.
• Train sales representatives on product knowledge, value proposition, ideal customer profiles, industry use cases, and competitive positioning.
• Develop training modules covering the complete sales cycle, from lead qualification and discovery to product demonstrations, follow-ups, negotiation, and closure.
• Conduct product knowledge assessments, mock calls, role-plays, and sales certification programs.
• Reduce new-hire ramp-up time by ensuring sales representatives become productive and confident in customer conversations.

Sales Call Audits & Coaching

• Audit live and recorded sales calls to evaluate pitch quality, discovery, questioning techniques, product positioning, objection handling, and closing effectiveness.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions with sales representatives and provide actionable feedback.
• Identify recurring sales gaps and develop targeted interventions to address them.
• Conduct role-plays based on real customer scenarios, including pricing objections, competitor comparisons, lack of urgency, and customer hesitation.
• Coach representatives to engage business owners, founders, and key decision-makers effectively.

B2B SaaS Sales Enablement

• Build and maintain sales playbooks, pitch scripts, objection-handling guides, FAQs, competitor battlecards, and training documentation.
• Train the team to understand customer business challenges and position the product around relevant business outcomes rather than just product features.
• Strengthen discovery and qualification skills to identify customer needs, buying intent, decision-making authority, and potential fit.
• Coach the team on delivering effective product demonstrations and communicating business value.
• Ensure consistent messaging and sales process adherence across the inside sales team.

Sales Performance & Conversion Improvement

• Partner with Sales Managers and leadership to identify performance gaps across individual representatives and sales teams.
• Analyse funnel metrics and call quality data to identify opportunities to improve lead-to-meeting, demo-to-opportunity, and opportunity-to-closure conversion rates, depending on the sales process.
• Develop targeted coaching plans for low-performing sales representatives and track their progress.
• Monitor the impact of training on productivity, sales quality, conversion rates, and revenue outcomes.
• Maintain dashboards and reports covering training effectiveness, call audit scores, certification results, and improvement plans.

What we are looking for :

• 3–6 years of overall experience in B2B Inside Sales, Sales Training, Sales Enablement, or Sales Coaching.
• Strong hands-on experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, software, or technology-led businesses.
• Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or training inside sales teams in a target-driven environment.
• Deep understanding of B2B sales fundamentals, including lead qualification, discovery, product pitching, demonstrations, objection handling, negotiation, follow-ups, and closing.
• Proven ability to conduct structured call audits and translate feedback into improved sales performance.
• Strong understanding of sales funnels, conversion metrics, and performance dashboards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create practical training content, sales playbooks, and coaching frameworks.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, dialers, call recording tools, and sales analytics.

Preferred: Experience training sales teams selling SaaS solutions to SMEs, business owners, founders, or senior business decision-makers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Reduction in new-hire time to productivity.
• Improvement in sales call quality and assessment scores.
• Improvement in relevant sales funnel conversion rates.
• Improvement in product knowledge and sales certification outcomes.
• Measurable performance improvement among coached sales representatives.
• Improvement in sales productivity and contribution to revenue targets.
• Adoption and adherence to sales processes and best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a sales professional at heart who enjoys building high-performing teams. You understand that effective sales training goes beyond presentations—it requires observing real customer conversations, identifying capability gaps, coaching consistently, and measuring business impact.

You combine strong sales fundamentals, analytical thinking, and practical coaching skills to help sales representatives become more confident, consultative, and effective in customer interactions.
