Maintenance Worker/Laborer

Full-Time: 40 hours/week

Monday - Friday: 7:30am-4pm (Flexible with start time between 7:30am-9am)

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Maintenance Worker/laborer is responsible to perform maintenance and other related types of work; demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance repairs, but proficient knowledge in most if not all areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering. Able to work independently with little supervision.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill within most if not all areas: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering/drywall/mudding.
• 2-3 years of experience preferred within the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering/drywall/mudding.
• Understands and demonstrates ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated skills in building trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. independently and over 75lbs. with assistance.
• Possess and demonstrate the necessary dexterity to separate tools, bolts, operate equipment, buttons, levers, etc.
• Able to work in a confined space.
• Able to work at heightened levels, ladders, etc.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and grounds.
• May work in heights and confined areas.
• Must work with residents, families and public courteously and effectively.
• Good standing driving record with Valid Ohio Driver's license.
