Job Description
Summary: The Urban Alchemy Collective, LLC specializes in transforming urban spaces into vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable environments. They are seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to actively contribute to real projects shaping communities while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support conceptual and schematic landscape design for parks, streetscapes, and public realm projects
- Assist with site analysis, precedent studies, and design research
- Help produce drawings, diagrams, renderings, and illustrative graphics for client and community presentations
- Contribute to public engagement materials, vision boards, and storytelling graphics
- Support the preparation of plans, reports, and presentation decks for stakeholders, advisory boards, and city councils
- Participate in design charrettes, internal critiques, and collaborative studio discussions
- Learn how design, planning, and community engagement intersect in real-world practice
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Landscape Architecture program (undergraduate or graduate)
- Strong interest in urban design, public spaces, and community-centered work
- Working knowledge of design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); experience with Lumion or Land F/X is a plus
- A strong graphic eye and willingness to explore visual storytelling
- Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in Texas landscapes and regional design sensibilities is a bonus, but not required
