Summary: The UPS Store is a retail service provider with over 4,500 locations dedicated to serving their communities. They are seeking a Sales Associate/Customer Service representative to deliver excellent customer service while processing packages and providing information about their products and services. Responsibilities: - Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries - Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership - Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions - Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends - Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others - Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment - Performs other duties as assigned - Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, printers, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites - Outstanding phone skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math - Prompt, reliable, and responsible - Willing and able to work Part-time per week for a 6-day work week - Earn Notary Public and Finger Print technician certification within 90 days of joining the company - Be at least 18 years old - Be a legal resident of California - Not have been convicted of a felony - Not have been convicted of a disqualifying misdemeanor where not more than 10 years have passed since the completion of probation - Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly - Ability to stand for extended periods of time - Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, printers, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork Preferred Qualifications: - Customer Service: 1 year - Certified Notary Public License - Driver License Required Skills: Notary Public Certification, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, Operating Copiers, Operating Fax Machines, Operating Point-of-Sale Devices, Spelling Benefits: 401(k) matching, Flexible schedule
