Retail Part Time Team Leader - Kempsey at The Reject Shop · Sydney

The Reject Shop at heart. Bigger future with Dollarama Australia.

Ready to lead a team and build a career in retail? We're growing into Dollarama Australia and building our store leadership teams. Some stores need a Team Leader right now and others will over the coming months. One application puts you in the Team Leader pool for the stores near you, so you're in line when a role opens.

About the role

Our Team Leaders run the store on shift. You'll step in for the Store Management Team when they're not there and lead the team by example.

• Lead the team on shift and keep service standards up
• Open and close the store as a keyholder
• Handle cash, till reconciliation and banking
• Coach and support Team Members, including new starters
• Keep merchandising, restocking and stock flow on track
• Keep the store safe for customers and the team

This is a hands-on, physical role where you'll be on your feet and may lift up to 16kg safely as part of normal store duties. You will be required to work independently.

Already work with us? Talk to your Store Manager about stepping up to Team Leader.

What you'll bring

You've run a shift or stepped up to lead a team in retail, fast food, a supermarket, bottle shop, chemist or similar. That might have been as a shift supervisor, 2IC or duty manager, a keyholder, or the person the team turned to when the manager wasn't around.

• Confidence holding the keys and being the person in charge on shift
• Good with cash and numbers
• Availability of at least three days and 12 hours a week, including some afternoons, evenings and weekends
• The right to work in Australia, and willingness to complete a National Police Check

What we offer

• Part-time hours on a regular roster
• Training and support from your first shift
• A clear path toward Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager
• A friendly, supportive team close to home
• 400+ stores and growing as we become Dollarama Australia

How we hire

We've changed how we hire. When you apply, you join the Team Leader pool for the stores near you. When a Team Leader role opens, we go to that pool first.

• One application, about five minutes on your phone, no resume needed
• Choose the stores near you
• Our Talent Team will contact you when a role that fits comes up
• Download the AppyHere app after you apply so you don't miss a message

You stay in the pool once you're in it, so there's no need to apply again every time a role comes up. If you're successful, you'll need proof of your right to work and ID before you start, such as an Australian passport or birth certificate, or your passport and visa.

All applications go through AppyHere. Our store teams can't take resumes in store.
