Electrical Engineer - Rockford Area

Responsibilities: - Design, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems for manufacturing equipment and facilities - Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical infrastructure and controls - Program, configure, and maintain industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs - Lead electrical engineering projects focused on process improvement, automation, and reliability - Provide expert technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve complex electrical issues - Ensure all electrical systems and practices comply with safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E) and regulatory requirements - Create and maintain accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Required Qualifications: - Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), HMI, and SCADA systems - Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical and control system issues in a manufacturing environment - Ability to design, implement, and document industrial electrical control panels, schematics, and power distribution systems - Strong understanding of industrial electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E) and relevant codes - Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, and industrial motor control applications Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with various PLC programming languages and platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) - Familiarity with industrial robotics and automation systems - Experience designing or integrating SCADA and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent process improvement experience - Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) Required Skills: PLC programming, HMI systems, SCADA systems, Electrical troubleshooting, Industrial electrical control panel design, Electrical schematics documentation, Power distribution systems, Industrial electrical safety standards, NFPA 70E, Variable frequency drives (VFDs), Servo systems, Industrial motor control
