Job Description
The Merritt Method LLC is seeking an experienced defense cost-estimating, acquisition analytics, or data-science professional to support our pursuit of the U.S. Air Force Cost Analysis Agency (AFCAA) CEMDAR opportunity.
CEMDAR — Cost Estimating Modeling, Data Analytics and Research — is focused on modernizing how the Department of the Air Force collects, governs, integrates, analyzes, and uses cost, schedule, technical, and acquisition data.
The requirement includes enterprise data pipelines, cloud-based analytics, predictive modeling, data governance, metadata, data lineage, cost-estimating applications, and reproducible analytical workflows.
The Merritt Method LLC is developing CodexDominion, an AI governance and execution-control platform focused on governed data and AI workflows, provenance, evidence, policy controls, secure execution, auditability, and enterprise data governance.
We are looking for professionals who can complement our technology capabilities with deep defense cost-analysis expertise.
Ideal background
• AFCAA, CAPE, DCARC, CADE, or related DoD cost organizations
• Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR)
• Air Force or Space Force acquisition cost analysis
• Earned Value Management (EVM)
• AFTOC or VAMOSC data
• Life-cycle cost analysis
• Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs)
• Schedule Estimating Relationships (SERs)
• Aircraft, space, missile, software, or O&S cost estimating
• Defense acquisition analytics
• Predictive modeling and statistical analysis
• Python, R, SQL, Spark, Databricks, or similar technologies
Potential responsibilities
• Support development of the CEMDAR technical approach and white paper
• Help define cost-estimating and acquisition-analysis use cases
• Advise on AFCAA/CAPE/DCARC/CSDR data requirements
• Support predictive cost and schedule modeling
• Help design cost-data normalization and validation methodologies
• Contribute to government proposal and technical-challenge preparation
• Help identify qualified cost-estimating SMEs
• Support technical demonstrations and implementation planning
We are especially interested in professionals with prior Air Force, Space Force, DoD, or defense-contractor experience.
This position supports a multi-million-dollar federal opportunity currently in pursuit. Compensation, workshare, and long-term engagement will depend on experience, final team structure, award status, and project scope.
This is not a generic data-science role. We are looking for people who understand the intersection of defense acquisition, cost analysis, data engineering, and modern analytics.
