Manager-SAP MM

Job Description

SAP Materials Management covers all tasks within the supply chain; including consumption based planning, purchasing, vendor evaluation and invoice verification. It also includes inventory, production planning, and warehouse management. The Manager understands the business requirements, prepares AS-IS & TO-BE document and sign-off with users for Business blue print document. The Manager performs configuration work as per the blue print document. Usually there are several small and large configuration teams working on different parts of the business process.

Protect the Intellectual Property

Adhere to all the policies and procedures

Implementation project:

Setting up organization structure of material management and relevant configuration like Purchase organization, valuation area plants, storage location, and warehouse structure etc.

Finalization of material groups, purchasing groups, payment terms, Inco terms, Pricing Procedure

Finalization of various numbers ranges for material master, vendor master and all purchasing and inventory documents

Configuration of release procedure for purchasing document like Purchase requisition and purchase order

Preparation of testing document and internal testing

Preparation of master data templates for various object like material master, vendor master, excise master, Info-records, source list, purchase order

Integration testing with other module PP, SD and FI/CO

Preparing the cut over strategy for MM object

Preparing the user manual and imparting training to business process owners

Go-live preparation and post go live support

Support project:

Interaction with client through net meetings, calls & emails. Handling Tickets & Tasks and responsible for closing the same within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)

Responsible for troubleshooting the issues in the system and providing support

Executing the needed changes in configuration

Executing the analysis and resolution of production support calls

Raising Change Requests (CRs) and writing functional specifications for them

Preparing test data for testing CRs (Change Requests)

Testing CRs (Change Requests) and preparing test results

Carrying out regression testing

There will be some interaction with other modules consultants

Preparing test cases, test scenarios and solution documents for the issues

Strong knowledge in building logics to make customized reports according to business scenarios

Strong blueprint creation skills which supports to configuration of business scenarios

Evaluate and amalgamate research findings to develop valuable insights and strategic recommendations for our client

Expertise in effective search strategies to gather relevant data using a broad set of resources such as on-line databases, the internet, internal database, associations etc.

Fulfill a variety of operational tasks using appropriate proprietary application

Monitor, coach and develop the team by sharing knowledge and providing training as necessary

Work closely with management in various processes / projects to ensure communication and smooth implementation

Experience in Procurement / Inventory Domain, External Service Management, Logistics Invoice Verification, Batch and Serial no. Management, Output Determination, Cross Module Integration, Purchasing, Pricing, Release Strategies Complete knowledge of India Tax Procedures in SAP MM CIN Module Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and critical-thinking skills are essential Should be organized and focused on delivering research tasks within defined deadlines Must be dynamic, flexible and possess perseverance skills Proficiency in customer relationship management Exhibit reactiveness and constructiveness at work such as, suggesting innovative but pragmatic solutions Utilize secondary research sources and techniques Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
