Job Description
Summary: Goodyear is one of the world’s largest tire companies, and they are seeking a Roadside Technician to provide emergency response tire services for semi-truck fleets. The role involves dispatching to customer locations to repair or change tires and performing general shop duties when not on service calls.
Responsibilities:
- An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets
- Repair or change the tire when a customer has a tire related failure
- Help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed
- Run after-hours service calls at a 95% Accept rate, which includes weekends and nights
- Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire
- Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary
- Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements
- Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including; how wear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all other safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous Commercial Service Tire experience
