Team Lead, CRM Campaigns (m/f/d)

Lead the team behind our newsletters and campaigns to millions of customers across 20+ online shops. You own the campaign program, the deals and the creative, carry the revenue and margin targets, and use AI to build and scale it all faster. A hands-on leadership seat.

About the role

Have you owned a newsletter or campaign program and led the team that ships it? We are hiring the person who runs CRM Campaigns: the newsletters, deals and creative that reach millions of customers across 20+ online shops, and the team behind them.

This role owns our newsletter and campaign program: what goes out across 20+ shops and many brands, the deals and discounts, the creative, and the revenue, margin and profit that come with it. You set the plan, stay hands-on building campaigns yourself, lead and grow the team, and lean hard on AI to move faster. This is the live campaign engine, not the automated lifecycle program.

The Customization Group is a global leader in mass customization and print-on-demand e-commerce, manufacturing up to 2.5 million personalized products daily across production sites in Germany, Poland, the USA and Latvia, and reaching millions of customers through 20+ online shops and 1,000+ partner stores.

In a nutshell -own the newsletter and campaign program, the deals and the numbers, and lead the team that ships it, with AI at the center.

The role in detail

What you will do, and what we need from you. Side by side, no surprises.

What you will do

Day-to-day, week-to-week. Real work, not job-description boilerplate.

→ Lead the CRM Campaigns team.
Line-manage the team: 1:1s, development, performance, hiring, and how work is prioritised.
→ Own the newsletter and campaign program.
Set the plan and calendar across 20+ shops and many brands, what goes out, to whom and when, and stay hands-on setting campaigns up yourself.
→ Own discounts and deals.
Plan the deal and discount calendar and the commercial logic behind it.
→ Own the creative.
Drive the concept and creative quality of campaigns, not just the mechanics.
→ Own the numbers.
Carry the channel's targets of revenue, margin and profit, and steer the program, testing and measuring, to hit them.
→ Put AI at the center.
Use agentic AI to build and scale campaigns faster, and raise the whole team's AI capability.

Requirements

What we genuinely need. Short list on purpose.

Must have

→ Typically 5+ years in CRM, email or campaign marketing.
Including owning a newsletter or campaign program you can talk through with real numbers.
→ People-leadership experience.
You have run a team, held 1:1s, developed people, and owned what they ship.
→ Hands-on command of a CRM/ESP platform.
Emarsys, Iterable, Braze, CleverTap or similar. You build campaigns yourself, not only brief them.
→ Hands-on, demonstrable experience with agentic AI.
Workflows you have actually built and run, not just general familiarity with AI tools.
→ Comfort owning commercial targets.
You reason from core business metrics: revenue, margin and profit.
→ A creative eye for campaigns.
Balanced with the rigor to test and measure.
→ Working-level English and CET overlap.
For daily work with European colleagues, plus openness to occasional travel to meet the team.

Nice to have

→ Multi-brand or multi-market CRM at scale.
Running campaigns across many shops or markets.
→ Multichannel experience.
Email, SMS, push, WhatsApp and similar.

Why this role

The CRM campaigns lead seat at TCG comes with real ownership: the program and the team, not a title on someone else's roadmap. Here is what is actually true.

Leadership

The program and the team

You own the newsletter and campaign program and lead the people who deliver it. The plan is yours to set and the team's growth is yours to build.

Program owner | People lead

Scale

Leverage that shows up in numbers

20+ shops and millions of customers, so strong campaign work moves real revenue and margin here.

20+ shops | Millions of customers

Team

An established team to lead

You take over a working CRM Campaigns team and shape how it operates, learns, and raises its craft.

Mentoring | Standards

AI at the center, not on the side

We expect this team to build and scale campaigns with agentic AI, with Emarsys as the CRM core and our own product and order data behind it.

Who we are looking for

Two short lists. The second one is on purpose: it makes the first more credible, and saves us both time.

You will thrive here if

→ You have owned a newsletter or campaign program and led the team that shipped it.
→ You are hands-on, happy to build campaigns yourself, not only direct them.
→ You think commercially: revenue, margin and profit, not just opens and clicks.
→ You use AI to do more, faster, and want to raise a team's craft with it.

Probably not a fit if

→ You want a pure individual-contributor or deep-expertise seat with no people management.
→ You want to stay purely strategic and hand execution to someone else.
→ You would rather not carry commercial targets or accountability for a team.
→ Time-zone overlap with European colleagues does not work for you.
