Tenured/Tenure-Track: Assistant/Associate Professor - Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution (Electronic Systems Engineering Technology Program)

Summary: Texas A&M University is seeking applications for a full-time tenured or tenure-track position in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution. The successful candidate will teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, advise students, develop a research program, and participate in departmental activities. Responsibilities: - Teach at the graduate as well as undergraduate level - Advise and mentor graduate students - Develop an independent, externally funded research program - Participate in all aspects of the department's activities - Serve the university, college, department, and profession Required Qualifications: - Earned doctorate in an appropriate engineering field or a closely related engineering or science discipline - Ability to teach at the graduate as well as undergraduate level - Ability to advise and mentor graduate students - Ability to develop an independent, externally funded research program - Participation in all aspects of the department's activities - Service to the university, college, department, and profession Preferred Qualifications: - Recent and relevant industrial or national laboratory experience with applied research and technology development in one or more of the following areas: Semiconductor testing, Internet of Things for Industrial Application, applied AI/ML for engineering applications, technical management, Industry 4.0, Instrumentation/Metrology, and Network Communication/Industrial Cybersecurity Required Skills: Semiconductor testing, Internet of Things for Industrial Application, Applied AI/ML for engineering applications, Technical management, Industry 4.0, Instrumentation/Metrology, Network Communication, Industrial Cybersecurity, Applied research, Technology development
