Job Description
Summary: Teradyne is a global test and automation specialist, ensuring electronic devices work correctly through advanced solutions. The Inventory Analyst Intern will support inventory planning, analytics, and optimization initiatives, providing hands-on exposure to supply chain management and contributing to operational efficiency projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support inventory modeling and forecasting activities by analyzing current business conditions, product lifecycles, and inventory requirements
- Assist with identifying and reconciling gaps between inventory models and actual inventory levels
- Help develop reports and presentations highlighting inventory trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support inventory reduction initiatives through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Assist in developing inventory optimization models to determine appropriate inventory levels based on business requirements
- Participate in the Excess & Obsolete inventory review process by analyzing inventory balances, supply chain data, and demand forecasts
- Support product allocation activities by maintaining component allocation data for new and existing products
- Perform data analysis related to inventory scrap reviews and historical shipment trends
- Assist with customer material return reviews and disposition tracking
- Support consignment and aging material reviews by validating inventory data and claims
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on operations processes, reporting, and analytical tools
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Demand Management, Supply Chain, and Global Service teams on various projects and initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in inventory management, supply chain operations, and business analytics
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization, ERP systems, Oracle, or Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro is a plus
