Mechanical Engineer Intern

They are offering a unique internship opportunity for aspiring Mechanical Engineers to support the engineering team in the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical and piping systems. Responsibilities: - Assist in the development of mechanical and piping system designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) - Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for mechanical and piping components - Collaborate with senior engineers to support various engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and maintenance of mechanical and piping systems - Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and schedules - Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis under the direction of senior engineers to support design decisions; including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and thermal analysis - Assist in the selection of materials and components based on project requirements and industry standards - Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and manuals - Work closely with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical, civil, and structural engineers, to ensure integrated and cohesive project outcomes - Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients to facilitate project success Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Mechanical Engineering; preference given to candidates with expected graduations in 2027 or 2028 - Strong academic performance and a solid understanding of engineering principles - Exposure to CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Basic knowledge of mechanical and piping systems, including design, analysis, and materials - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, CAD Software Important Skills: Mechanical Systems Knowledge, Problem-Solving Skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Attention to Detail
