Summary: Talentsearchpro is seeking a Founding Engineer to join their team in San Francisco. The role involves working on backend systems that integrate machine learning and traditional system design, while also contributing to the overall engineering culture as an early hire. Responsibilities: - Backend systems work with a mix of ML and traditional system design / infrastructure - Build features end-to-end across whatever the team is shipping - Cross-functional work with the rest of the engineering team and founders - Help shape the engineering culture as one of the early hires Required Qualifications: - 0-3 years of engineering experience (open to recent grads with exceptional signal) - Builder mentality demonstrated through side projects, personal builds, or evidence of shipping outside of day-job scope - Backend foundation with comfort across ML and traditional system design - High agency and high slope: figures things out quickly, ships fast, talks to humans well - SF in-person, willing to grind in a startup environment Preferred Qualifications: - Recommendation system, ranking, or ad-experience background - PyTorch fluency - Prior experience at Roblox, Meta, Amazon, or comparable consumer/ad infra companies - Open-source contributions or notable GitHub presence Required Skills: Backend systems, Machine learning, System design, Infrastructure, Recommendation systems, Ranking systems, Ad experience, PyTorch, High agency
