Overview
Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Product Sales Representative at 8631 East Freeway Houston, TX 77029.
Responsible for driving sales and business development of the Atlas Copco Mobile Power and Flow product portfolio, including mobile generators, portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, light towers, and related aftermarket support solutions, within an assigned territory. This role focuses on serving customers across industrial, construction, infrastructure, municipal, petrochemical, rental, and commercial markets while achieving maximum sales growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Generate new customer accounts while developing, servicing, and maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Analyze customer applications, operational needs, and project requirements to determine the most effective Atlas Copco Mobile Power and Flow solutions.
- Recommend and sell Atlas Copco products, including mobile generators, portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, light towers, accessories, parts, service agreements, and related aftermarket solutions.
- Achieve sales goals, forecasts, and market share objectives established by management.
- Promote and support the introduction of new products, technologies, and equipment offerings within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mobile power generation, compressed air, dewatering, and associated equipment applications.
- Collaborate with internal departments including operations, service, parts, engineering, finance, and customer support to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales orders and projects to ensure equipment specifications, costs, delivery schedules, and customer requirements are met.
- Prepare quotations, bids, and proposals for customers, including equipment recommendations, pricing, and service offerings.
- Negotiate sales contracts, service agreements, and equipment rental or purchase solutions with customers.
- Establish, maintain, and expand professional relationships with contractors, rental companies, municipalities, industrial facilities, engineering firms, and other key stakeholders within the mobile power and flow markets.
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to maximize business opportunities and customer growth.
- Expedite the resolution of customer concerns, equipment issues, and service-related matters.
- Attend industry trade shows, customer events, training programs, and sales meetings to stay current on market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations, product presentations, and application reviews for customers and prospects.
- Provide management with timely reports regarding customer activities, market conditions, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunities.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and represent Atlas Copco in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Conduct all business transactions in accordance with company policies and ethical standards.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Three to seven years of outside sales experience, preferably in power generation, compressed air systems, pumps, construction equipment, industrial equipment, rental equipment, or related markets.
- Experience selling capital equipment, aftermarket parts, service solutions, or engineered products preferred.
- Knowledge of Atlas Copco Mobile Power and Flow applications or competitive equipment markets is highly desirable.
- Must adhere to company pricing policies, procedures, and sales guidelines.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM platforms and ERP systems preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, worksite, or customer location.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory and attend customer job sites, industrial facilities, and construction locations.
Working Conditions
- Frequent local and regional travel required within the assigned territory.
