Job Description
Business Development Partner, Private Home Care (Independent Contractor, Commission Only)
Stay at Home Nursing Care Services · Southern Ontario, set your own schedule · Independent contractor, Commission only, uncapped
It’s good to be home. Reliable home care takes a team.
We want a self-directed business builder who can find families who need care at home, help them reach a confident decision, and wants to be paid for the clients who stay. This is independent, commission-only work, and we will be highly selective. With families you carry the title Family Care Consultant.
Who we are
Caring for people in their own homes since 2017. We deliver publicly funded care through Ontario Health atHome and private care for families directly, with more than 200 field staff serving over 500 clients, and we are Accredited with Commendation by Accreditation Canada. Every private client has a Care Designer, a nurse who oversees the care plan as needs change, and behind every caregiver stands a professional team: screening, matching, scheduling, clinical support, operational backup and a real person answering the phone 24 hours a day.
The opportunity
You find families who need care and turn their interest into a confident decision. You work independently, on your own schedule, with a professional organisation behind you. You own each opportunity from the first conversation through to a signed agreement, an activated start and a clean handoff, so the sale you made is the care the family receives.
The support around you
- Incoming enquiries from SAHN when you choose to take them, alongside the families you find yourself.
- Live capacity information, so you can answer a family about availability while they are on the phone.
- Clinical leadership when a genuine clinical question arises, with Operations and Finance owning staffing and billing.
You are likely a fit if you
- Have closed considered, emotional, high-trust purchases, and can talk about money without flinching or pushing.
- Are self-driven. You go out and find the families who need help, without anyone setting your hours.
- Want to be paid for clients who stay, and can hold a boundary rather than solving every problem yourself.
- Hold yourself to the highest ethical standard. You would walk away from a sale before you would pressure an older person or their family.
Qualifications
What we look for: consultative sales or client advisory experience, a record of building your own book of business, comfort discussing price, the discipline to keep honest records, and a driver's licence. A strong asset: home care, senior living, health services or insurance, and experience working with families. You operate as your own business, including HST registration where required.
Compensation
Commission only, with no base salary, draw or benefits. Commission is calculated on the ongoing monthly care revenue of each client you bring in, and is paid in stages as the client stays, so you are rewarded for families who are well served. Uncapped. Our first Partner closed more than $4,000 in commission in her first month; individual results vary and are not guaranteed. The full commission plan is shared with shortlisted candidates. This is an independent contractor engagement.
