Role:
As a Quality Engineer - you will play a pivotal role inelevating our quality practices across customer-facing event management workflows,booking and registration experiences, operational administration, product integrations,and complex distributed systems. You will be an expert within our engineeringorganization, deeply understanding product behaviour, customer journeys, businessrules, and the systems that support seamless conference and event experiences. This rolewill balance hands-on individual contributor responsibilities with leading, influencing,and coaching your peers.
This individual contributor role is for someone who is passionate about seeing systemsholistically, has a strong vision for product quality, and is eager to drive the higheststandards of customer experience, functional correctness, usability, accessibility,reliability, performance, and release confidence. You will leverage your deepunderstanding of SaaS product behaviour, end-to-end workflows, integrations,environments, and customer operations to guide and influence our development process.
Your role is not to manage a team, but to be a quality champion who partners directlywith developers, product managers, designers, support, implementation, and customer-facing teams. You will help teams anticipate risk, clarify expected behaviour, validatebusiness logic, protect the customer experience, and build more robust, scalable, andreliable conference and event products.
At the core of this role is a strong focus on customer experience; success means ourplatform behaves predictably, is easy to use, and enables customers to plan, configure,manage, and deliver events with confidence.
What You Will Own:
Own and drive end-to-end testing strategy for customer-facing Conference & Events productexperiences, operational workflows, integrations, and distributed systems, proactivelyidentifying product behaviour risks, usability gaps, workflow defects, regression risk.
Define and champion product quality standards for functional correctness, customerexperience, usability, accessibility and consistency.
Design and execute validation strategies across the Conference and events,including bookings, attendee registration, room and resource allocation,communications and operational administration for customer workflows.
Partner with Product, Design and Engineering from ideation through delivery to ensureacceptance criteria, personas, customer journeys, test data, edge cases, non-functionalexpectations, and quality gates reflect real customer operations and the intended productexperience.
Build pragmatic automated checks and test frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression,and end-to-end workflow validation using common product and quality engineering tools.
Champion shift-left quality culture by mentoring developers, product managers, and designpartners on testing principles, behavioural specifications, clear acceptance criteria, earlyvalidation, fast feedback loops, and production-quality observability.
Work effectively with ambiguity, proactively designing quality solutions based on evidence when clear requirements, behaviour definitions, customer workflow expectations, or quality baselines do not yet exist.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive software engineering or quality engineering with deepfocus on quality in complex, distributed system environments.
Proven track record as an individual contributor with strong quality mindset andability to influence technical direction through innovative, pragmatic, andevidence-based approaches.
Deep hands-on experience working with web-based products, including front-endbehaviour, API, service integration and functional end-to-end testing.
Strong experience building test automation frameworks such as Playwright,Cypress from the ground up
Practical experience integrating automated tests and quality checks into CI/CDpipelines using tools such as GitHub, Buildkite, or similar platforms.
Experience defining deployment and release quality gates, including test suiteselection, environment readiness checks.
Problem-solving skills with talent for root cause analysis of complex system.
Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills to effectively guide andinfluence engineering peers, product managers, and business stakeholdersthrough deep technical expertise and strategic quality insights.
Genuine curiosity and passion for understanding product architecture, userexperience flows, customer workflows, analytics use cases, and the businessimpact of engineering and data decisions.
