Lead bootfitter & ski specialist (EN) at Snowcountry… · Amersfoort

At Snowcountry, everything revolves around happy customers, now and in the long run. In our new store, we want to offer the best bootfitting and the best ski advice from day one. We're looking for an experienced expert who will set that standard and take our team to the next level.

About Snowcountry

Snowcountry was founded in 2008 and has grown into one of Europe's leading winter sports retailers. We serve customers in 65 countries and have grown entirely on our own. Our mission:

We equip winter sports enthusiasts with the perfect gear for their adventures, so they can create unforgettable memories in the mountains.

We want to be the most customer-focused winter sports store in Europe and build a strong brand. Technology drives us; a passion for winter sports fuels us. We're e-commerce and tech-first, but our physical store matters a great deal to us. It's where brand, experience and craftsmanship come together.

What you'll do

• You'll be the face of, and the authority on, ski boots and skis in our store.
• You'll do high-level bootfitting yourself and have completed training and/or earned certifications in it.
• You'll lead and guide the store team on skis and bootfitting, and set the standard for advice and fitting services together with the store team lead.
• You'll train young, enthusiastic colleagues to become true specialists.
• You'll work closely with our ski category team on assortment, brands, trends and customer feedback from the shop floor.
• You'll help shape the further development of our store(s). Our ambition is to grow into a large store in the Netherlands and a store outside the Netherlands (within 3–5 years).

What we offer

• A fast-growing, ambitious environment. We've been growing for years and have big plans for the years ahead, and you'll help build them.
• An extensive ski category team to support you. Purchasing, assortment and inventory are managed centrally and driven by data, so you can focus on what you do best: the customer and the craft.
• Room to pass on your knowledge. You'll train a new generation of bootfitters and ski specialists.
• A team of enthusiasts who hit the mountains themselves.
• An organization that values short lines of communication, personal ownership and progress.
• A competitive salary and good benefits.
• Test trips, because first-hand experience is essential. In March and April, Snowcountry runs its own test lodge, where we train a large part of our staff and introduce them to gear and activities such as ski touring and freeriding.

Who you are

• You have years of experience as a bootfitter and ski specialist, ideally in a specialist ski shop or in the Alps.
• You're a strong, versatile skier yourself. You know the piste, but you're just as at home off-piste and in the touring segment.
• You have proven knowledge of gear.
• You get satisfaction from training others and naturally take the lead.
• You're customer-focused and would rather deliver a perfect fit than a quick sale.
