Orthodontic Assistant at Smile Doctors in Austin, TX

We’re seeking an Orthodontic Clinician to join our growing team.

You’ll help create a positive clinical experience for every patient while following company policies and applicable state dental laws, rules, and regulations under the direction and close supervision of an Orthodontist.

How you’ll make us better

• Assist with placing and removing orthodontic appliances under the Orthodontist’s close supervision.
• Review patient charts, record appropriate patient information, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under the Orthodontist’s close supervision.
• Monitor the remote-monitoring dashboard by reviewing and triaging patient scans, responding to direct messages, and addressing notifications.
• Educate patients about orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatories according to standard protocols.
• Follow all infection-control policies and procedures.

Prerequisites for success

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some dental or orthodontic industry experience preferred.
• Dental Assistant certification, if required by the state dental board.
• Radiography certification, if required by the state dental board.
• CPR certification, if required by the state dental board.
