Software Engineer at Skybridge Payment Inc. in Mandaluyong

Who We Are

SKYPAY is a BSP-licensed fintech company accelerating the future of digital commerce in the Philippines. We build the mission-critical payment gateways, automated collection switches, and bulk disbursement engines that bridge enterprises, startups, and millions of users every day.

We don't just process transactions; we replace slow, legacy banking loops with high-velocity, automated, and secure programmatic infrastructure. If you want your code to touch millions of daily financial workflows, this is where you build it.

Role Overview

We are seeking a result-driven Software Engineer to drive the development of our web applications and APIs. This is a hands-on role focused on coding, debugging, and delivering functional features using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with Product and Design teams to turn requirements into high-performing software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs and backend services on GCP.
• Build and maintain front-end features using React.js, Node.js, and JavaScript.
• Work with JSON for data exchange between front-end and backend.
• Design and work with relational or NoSQL databases (schema design, queries, indexing, migrations).
• Implement data models and business logic for backend services.
• Ensure API performance, reliability, and proper error handling.
• Deploy and monitor backend services on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with the Product and Design teams to implement functional, user-friendly features.
• Track tasks and progress in a project management tool.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related field with strong practical experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in software development, preferably in full-stack or end-to-end software development roles.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, APIs, Java, React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and JSON.
• Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL), including basic schema design and writing queries.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative team environment.
• Execution-focused, proactive, and reliable.
• GCP Certification (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer) is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Any front-end/full-stack web development certifications (React, Node.js, JavaScript) is helpful but optional.
• Proven experience building full-stack applications and APIs.
• Comfortable using version control systems like Git or BitBucket.
• Familiarity with agile development processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug across front-end and backend.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Willingness to learn new tools or frameworks as the product evolves.

What we offer:

• Hyper-Scale Operational Impact: You aren't building small internal tools. SKYPAY processes over 50 million transactions annually—equivalent to more than ₱180 billion ($3 billion USD) in Total Payments Volume (TPV). Your code will directly impact the nationwide digital economy every single day.
• Accelerated Career & Growth Trajectory: We thrive on startup agility. We actively prioritize young talent with fast growth potential. Your advancement here is dictated by your technical output and problem-solving execution, not your years on the clock.
• Premium HQ Location: Work in a high-energy environment right at the 29th Floor of SM Megatower (directly connected to SM Megamall). Enjoy direct MRT-3/EDSA transit access, endless dining options, and a vibrant workspace right in the heart of Ortigas Center.
• Technical Autonomy: We cultivate an engineering-driven culture. If you can prove a better architecture design, optimize a database query, or build a cleaner automation flow, you own the deployment.

• Performance-based annual incentives — we recognize and reward high-impact contributions.
