Job Description
Summary: Sixth Street is a leading global investment firm dedicated to developing themes and offering solutions to companies across all stages of growth. The Summer Internship program provides an opportunity for rising seniors to support and manage projects related to regulatory compliance obligations and related filings within the Compliance team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 10-week internship program designed to give you a robust understanding of Sixth Street’s Compliance team
- Assist internal and external regulatory counsel with filing responsibilities and related tracking
- Perform clerical tasks in support of routine filings and related compliance functions
- Perform specifically delegated paralegal work in support of the Legal functions
- Interface with in-house accounting teams and other clients with appropriate attorney supervision
- Help resolve routine compliance matters requiring legal support under the supervision and guidance of attorneys
- Assists in data gathering and compiling information for special projects as assigned
- Organize and maintain filing records, meeting notes and legal advice
- Opportunity to assist with the build out of our regulatory filing processes and guides
- Assist with other general corporate and compliance tasks, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program and must be on track to graduate in either Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
- Excellent academic record – please include GPA on your resume and note that we may request a copy of your transcript
- Excellent work ethic and high degree of professionalism and commitment to team and a goal-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced, changing environment
- Highest ethical standards and integrity
- Ideal candidate will be a team player, able to work collaboratively across different teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience at a law firm or other similar financial services institution is preferred, but not required
