MRI Technologist at SimonMed in 861 Coronado Center Dr, Henderson, NV
Job Description
Deliver diagnostic excellence—producing high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassion while keeping patients calm and cared for through every scan.
At SimonMed, MRI is not a modality for the passive or the impatient. Our MRI Technologists are essential to delivering the advanced outpatient imaging our patients and referring physicians depend on. From brain and spine to cardiac and MSK protocols, this role demands that precision, physics knowledge, and people skills all show up at the same time, every time.
We are looking for a tech who thrives in a fast-paced but supportive environment, takes MRI safety as seriously as image quality, and brings genuine care to every patient interaction. If you find purpose in high-caliber clinical work, value efficient workflows and advanced technology, and want to grow within a collaborative team that holds itself to a higher standard—this is where you belong.
What You Bring
Precision and clinical expertise: You operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images, and you know the difference between good enough and diagnostic grade. You select the right imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition, evaluate your own work before it reaches a radiologist, and bring real depth in MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and contrast administration protocols.
Safety is the job: MRI safety is not a checklist you run through on autopilot—it is a mindset you apply to every patient, every scan, every shift. You know your safety zones cold—Zone I through Zone IV—and you enforce them without exception. You screen thoroughly, assess contrast contraindications carefully, monitor patients during procedures, and respond with composure when something does not go as planned.
Mastery of standards and systems: You are proficient in PACS and imaging software, and your patient documentation is clean, complete, and current. You do not cut corners because the magnet is unforgiving—and so are your standards.
Agility and autonomy: You manage your own workflow, perform routine quality control checks, maintain your equipment, and adapt when protocols shift, or patient needs change mid-scan. Your experience means you know what needs to happen next—and you make it happen.
Patient empathy: Every patient receives your full attention—correct and comfortable positioning, a plain-language explanation of what is about to happen, and genuine calm for everyone who walks into your suite, including those who are scared, in pain, or just done with medical appointments. Compassionate care for a diverse patient population is a clinical requirement here, not a soft skill.
Mentorship and professionalism: When new staff or students need support, you step up. You share your knowledge, model best practices, and raise the level of everyone around you. Strong techs make the whole department stronger.
What You'll Gain
Purpose-driven work: At SimonMed, you are part of something bigger than any single scan. The #1 reason people stay is the sense of purpose that comes from delivering advanced outpatient imaging that directly impacts patient diagnoses and outcomes. Your expertise makes a difference every single day.
A collaborative team environment: Join a team where support, communication, and shared clinical standards are the norm—not the exception. Our collaborative culture is the reason our technologists stay and thrive.
Flexibility and work-life balance: No trauma bay interruptions, no overnight on-call, no unpredictable inpatient surges. You get the predictability of an outpatient schedule—with holidays off and a shift that ends when it is supposed to.
Efficient workflows and advanced technology: We invest in modern, well-maintained MRI systems so you are not fighting aging hardware to get clean images. Our efficient workflows mean you can focus on clinical excellence—not administrative friction.
High clinical standards in advanced imaging: At our scale, the case mix is genuinely diverse—brain, spine, MSK, abdomen, cardiac, and beyond. SimonMed's commitment to high clinical standards and advanced protocols means your physics knowledge, protocol selection, and patient management skills stay sharp because they are constantly in use.
A career path, not just a job: As a national network, we offer internal mobility, cross-training opportunities, and room to grow into advanced protocols, leadership, or training roles. As we continue to expand across markets, new opportunities are created for technologists to advance their careers and grow with the organization. Your ARRT-MR is the foundation—where you build from here is up to you.
You're a Strong Fit if You Have
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• Valid state licensure current (where required)
• Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program
• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred
• MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature
• Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems
• Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates
• Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline
• Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
