Key Account Manager at Sievo in Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland

Meet Sievo!

We are Sievo – the leading procurement analytics SaaS company from Finland. We help the largest companies in the world, household brands like Levi’s, Kellogg’s and Mars, to generate cost savings, understand their procurement data, make data-driven decisions, reduce emissions, drive supply chain resilience, and beyond. Each year, we process spend equivalent to 2% of the global GDP. Pretty cool, right?

At the core of our success are talented people from all over the world with different backgrounds and perspectives. Our 450+ Sievonians are based across Helsinki, Chicago, Bucharest, London and Paris.

We’re now looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Account Management team in Helsinki. What sets the role apart is the people you’ll partner with and the impact you’ll have. As a Key Account Manager, you will have full ownership over a portfolio of accounts, and act as a trusted advisor to CxOs and senior decision-makers, bringing your procurement expertise to the table and shaping how some of the world’s largest companies unlock the full value of their procurement data.

As a Key Account Manager, you will focus on:

• Account management: You’ll have full commercial and contractual ownership of a portfolio of 15-20 enterprise accounts. You will be leading your own client cluster to drive client satisfaction and success, while focusing on where the highest value is.
• Driving growth & retention: You’ll have ownership over your accounts’ retention, satisfaction and upsales, and focus on building their account strategy and roadmap. You will be driving our growth by ensuring that we meet and go beyond our clients’ expectations as well as grow their use of our solutions.
• Influencing decision-makers: You’ll guide CxOs and key decision-makers in the procurement and finance departments, acting as their trusted advisor.
• Collaboration: In this visible role, you’ll work in close collaboration with the Account Management organization while being supported by other functions globally.

What we’re looking for:

We're looking for someone with procurement expertise and the drive to learn, rather than a lengthy track record in account management. If you have a strong grasp of procurement and you're excited to grow into the commercial side, this could be the role for you. Ideally you have:

• Procurement expertise: You have prior experience with procurement consulting, working with procurement solution providers, or hands-on procurement experience. In essence, you understand the day-to-day life of a Category Manager, a CPO, or a Procurement Excellence Manager.
• Commercial & SaaS acumen: You understand what it takes to sell and support a SaaS offering to enterprise customers. Prior experience working with account management, expansion opportunities, retention and churn risk mitigation is a plus - what matters the most is your ability to pick these up quickly.
• Relationship building: You excel at building and nurturing long-lasting relationships at executive level with global clients and thrive to exceed client expectations. You’re not afraid to find and get to know the right people – you’re able to navigate complex organizations to find the relevant key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Impactful communication: You possess fluent communication skills in English. You have excellent presentation skills enabling you to build credibility with senior stakeholders in Procurement, IT, ESG and Finance functions.
• Organizational skills: You have the ability to stay ahead across a portfolio of accounts, balance competing priorities, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
• Tech-driven mindset: You are tech-savvy, and a quick learner of new software and technologies. You’re able to transform your knowledge into solution proposals for your customers.

What we also appreciate:

• Previous experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or B2B SaaS sales.
• In addition to English, ability to hold discussions in other languages, such as Spanish or German, is considered as an advantage.

What awaits you at Sievo:

• You’ll partner and work directly with high profile executives from Fortune 500 companies.
• A team of 40+ nationalities, so you’ll have the possibility to work with an international group of great people with diverse backgrounds.
• Sievonians are ambitious, yet kind and supportive. You’ll be challenged to grow, backed to succeed, and never left to figure it out alone.
• Freedom and responsibility. We are looking for people who yearn for this freedom, are able to make the most out of it and are willing to take on the responsibility.
• One of the coolest offices in the heart of Helsinki – or if you prefer, a flexible hybrid working model. We also provide all essential tools to work remotely.
• Awesome perks, including extensive healthcare, equity program, mobile phone connection, home internet plan, referral bonus, and many more!

This is a full-time position, and the salary model consists of base salary and commission. The base salary ranges between 4,500 to 5,500 €/month depending on experience and qualifications. With commission, OTE may reach approximately 73-90k €/year.

Sievo has a flexible hybrid working policy. Our new colleague is expected to join us at the office in Helsinki around 2-3 days per week. The position requires occasional travel to customer sites, mostly within Europe (approximately 30 days a year).

As excited as we are? Here are the next steps!

To take the first step on this great growth adventure, we encourage you to send your CV, cover letter and salary expectation through our recruitment system by November 8th.

We will be going through applications on a continuous basis, and the position will be filled when a suitable candidate has been found. This means that we look forward to receiving your application as soon as possible!
