What You Will Do:

• Administering and managing existing database clusters and individual databases (using Iaac tools like Terraform).

• Designing database structures and collaborating with other teams to achieve technical alignment.

• Building and setting up new database clusters.

• Implementing backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for database systems.

• Creating and maintaining technical and non-technical documentation for database systems and related tooling.

• Serving as the liaison between development teams and Infrastructure.

• Mediating and advising on the division of responsibilities between infrastructure and application layers.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and practical experience as an administrator (DBA) with PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of AWS, sufficient for efficient day-to-day operations.
• Basic knowledge of Python, or a willingness to learn the basics.
• A solid foundational understanding of Linux.
• Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible.
