Paralegal at Security National Financial in Murray, UT

Company Background

Security National Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: SNFCA) is a diversified financial services holding company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 1965, the Company operates through a multi-segment structure that delivers insurance, lending, and related financial and real estate services to individuals and families across the United States. Security National has built an integrated platform of regulated businesses designed to serve customers across different life stages, while maintaining diversified sources of revenue and earnings.

The Company’s life insurance segment markets and services a range of products, including traditional life, accident and health, real estate, and interest-sensitive policies, distributed through a network of licensed agents across numerous states. Complementing its insurance operations, Security National Financial Corporation conducts nationwide mortgage lending through its SecurityNational Mortgage Company subsidiary. This segment originates, underwrites, and acquires residential and commercial mortgage loans, supporting home purchases, refinancing, and new construction financing across a broad geographic footprint. Together, the insurance and mortgage platforms form the Company’s core financial services engine within highly regulated environments.

In addition to insurance and mortgage, Security National owns and operates cemetery and mortuary businesses that provide funeral, burial, cremation, and memorial services. These operations include both pre-need and at-need service offerings, creating long-term customer relationships that often intersect with the Company’s insurance products. The integration of death care services alongside financial products reflects the Company’s diversified model and long-standing presence in industries that require operational discipline, regulatory oversight, and community trust.
