Job Description

OUR STORY:

🇪🇺 Join Scaleway and shape the sovereign cloud of tomorrow !

Since 1999, we have been designing secure, sustainable infrastructures aimed at supporting the most ambitious companies.

Historically known for our dedicated servers (Dedibox), we made a strategic shift to cloud computing in 2015. Staying true to our principles of simplicity, flexibility, and technical excellence, we have become one of the leading players in Europe in the sector.

With the rise of artificial intelligence, we have strengthened our commitment, supported by the Iliad Group, which is investing €3 billion to develop a serious, sovereign AI alternative to American and Asian giants.

Every day, thanks to our fast-growing portfolio of cloud and AI products (bare metal, containerization, serverless, AI, etc.), Scaleway proudly serves thousands of customer across the private and public sector, from corporations like France Télévisions or Hachette Livre, to fast-growing startups like Photoroom and Biolevate, to institutions like the City of Copenhagen.

📍 Our offices are located in Paris, Lille, Toulouse, Rennes, Rouen, Bordeaux and Lyon.

WHY WE NEED YOU ?

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our UX Research team within the Product & Design department to scale our research capabilities and better support product decisions across our core cloud infrastructure.

Your mission will be to lead impactful user research on highly technical products, while developing scalable ResearchOps practices and empowering product teams to conduct research independently, in order to embed user insights into product strategy and continuously improve the experience of our cloud infrastructure users.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.

You will join a growing team of 2 UX Researchers, within the Design department, working closely with Product Managers and Product Designers across different tribes.

The team focuses on making user research more continuous, accessible and impactful across Scaleway's product organization. Key initiatives include scaling ResearchOps, developing our Insight Hub, enabling People Who Do Research (PwDR), and responsibly integrating AI into research workflows.

You will also collaborate with Solution Architects, Customer Success and Marketing teams when relevant, gaining exposure to a wide range of technical products and customer needs.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

Lead end-to-end UX research initiatives, from discovery to usability testing and continuous research, focusing on cloud infrastructure products and technical users such as developers, DevOps engineers and system administrators.
Partner closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to identify research opportunities, frame relevant research questions and translate findings into actionable product recommendations.
Collaborate with Product Designers to make highly technical concepts (e.g. provisioning, networking, storage configuration) understandable and usable, helping Scaleway stand out for usability in a historically technical industry.
Develop and scale ResearchOps practices, including research workflows, methodologies, templates and insight management processes.
Contribute to the development and adoption of the Insight Hub, ensuring research findings are accessible, reusable and actionable across multiple product tribes.
Empower Product Managers, Product Designers and other PwDRs to conduct high-quality research independently through coaching, training and practical research guidelines.
Explore and integrate AI-powered tools and automated workflows to improve research efficiency while maintaining methodological rigor and responsible practices.
Identify cross-product user needs and behavioral patterns to generate insights that extend beyond individual features or product teams.
Advocate for user-centered decision-making, communicate research findings effectively and follow up on their impact on product roadmaps and strategic priorities.
