Job Description:

Ryder is looking for a driven, road-ready sales hunter to own new business development. The Rental Sales Account Manager is a true outside sales position for someone who wants the freedom to build relationships, chase opportunity, and control their own earning potential.

• Sales Territory: San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley/Pharr

• Compensation: $50,000 base + Uncapped Commission (1st year average earning potential averages around $15,000+)

• Benefits: Dental, Vision, Medical, 401(k) , Paid Time Off

• Hunt and close new rental business — you're not inheriting an existing book, you're building your own.
• Travel your territory (San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley/Pharr), spending most of your week face-to-face with prospects and customers, not behind a desk.
• Represent Ryder's rental solutions to businesses looking for flexible truck and equipment options.
• Manage your own schedule and pipeline with the autonomy of a true road warrior — overnight travel is expected and fully supported.
• Work out of a dedicated San Antonio office base whenever you need it, with no requirement to share space.

• No personnel management, no recruiting, no branch oversight — just sales. If you want to sell and be rewarded for it without getting pulled into people-management, this is built for you.
• Real earning upside: a solid base plus uncapped, performance-based commission that puts your average first-year take-home around $75,000, with plenty of room to earn more as you build your territory.
• A hungry, wide-open territory with real revenue potential in markets that are underserved today — get in early and make it yours.

• Base salary: $50,000/year
• Commission: uncapped, performance-based (first-year earners typically add $15,000+ on top of base, with strong performers earning well beyond that)
• Travel: regular in-territory travel with pre-approved overnight stays as needed — mileage/travel expenses supported

• A hunter mentality — someone energized by new business development, not just managing existing accounts.
• Outside sales or account management experience, ideally with a track record of building relationships and closing deals in the field.
• Comfort with a heavy travel schedule across a multi-city territory, including overnight trips.
• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and doesn't need constant oversight to stay productive.
• Strong communication skills and the persistence to keep pursuing a deal until it closes.

• Join an industry leader with an established brand that opens doors — you're selling a name customers already trust.
• Uncapped commission structure means your paycheck reflects your effort, not a fixed ceiling.
• A genuinely wide-open territory where the right person can make an outsized impact fast.
