Site Engineer – South Dublin
Our client, an established construction company with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the
construction industry serving both the public and private sectors, is looking for an experienced Site
Engineer for a new project commencing in South Dublin
This is a hands-on, site-based position with responsibility across the civil and structural elements of
the project. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, site team,
subcontractors and other project stakeholders to support the safe, accurate and efficient delivery of
works on site.
The client is flexible regarding the level of the appointment and will consider experienced Site
Engineers as well as candidates currently operating at Senior Site Engineer level.

We Are Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering or a related discipline
- Ideally 5+ years’ relevant site engineering experience
- Previous Irish main contractor/site experience is essential
- Strong practical experience across civil and structural construction works
- Comfortable working in a predominantly site-based, hands-on role
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and technical requirements
- Ability to identify and resolve practical site and technical issuesExperience coordinating with site
management, subcontractors and other members of the project team
- Setting-out experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Working knowledge of QA/QC procedures and maintaining appropriate site records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving ability
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy and safe delivery of works
Role and Responsibilities
Site Engineering & Construction
- Support the delivery of all civil and structural elements of the project
- Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure works are delivered in
accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements
- Provide practical engineering support on the ground throughout the construction process
- Review drawings and technical information and assist in resolving site-based engineering
queries
- Monitor works to ensure required standards of quality and accuracy are maintained
- Assist with setting out where required
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to support the efficient sequencing and delivery of
works
- Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants and other project stakeholders as required
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical or construction issues arising on site
- Monitor progress of works within assigned areas and raise potential issues with site management
- Support the coordination of civil, structural and associated construction activities
Quality & Site Records
- Support QA/QC requirements as part of the wider site team
- Carry out inspections and checks on works as required
- Assist with maintaining relevant engineering and site records
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications and required
standards
Health & Safety
- Work closely with site management to maintain high standards of health and safety
- Ensure engineering and construction activities within assigned areas are carried out in
accordance with site procedures and project requirements
- Promote a professional, organised and safety-conscious approach to works on site
Pay: €44,594.42-€74,271.68 per year
