Job Description
Summary: Rets AI is a company focused on building an AI operating system for commercial real estate investment firms. They are seeking a Backend Engineer to develop backend systems, design APIs, and integrate AI into their platform while working closely with the founders in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- TypeScript / Node.js backend systems powering the core platform
- Relational database design with PostgreSQL and Prisma
- API design across REST and server actions
- AI/LLM integration, building pipelines against foundation model APIs
- Event-driven architecture: background jobs, queues, async workflows
- Auth, payments, and third-party SaaS API integrations
- Real-time systems including pub/sub and WebSockets
- Working within a monorepo codebase
Required Qualifications:
