Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash

Blackrock, Cork

€17 PER HOUR

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash to join our team at Beale Street, Longboats Bar, Blackrock, Cork.

This is a full-time position involving evening and weekend work.

Working Hours

Monday: Day off

Tuesday: Day off (business closed)

Wednesday: 5pm – 10:30pm

Thursday: 5pm – 10:30pm

Friday: 4pm – 10:30pm

Saturday: 1pm – 10:30pm

Sunday: 12pm – 9:30pm

Two days off every week – Monday and Tuesday.

IMPORTANT – FIXED WORKING HOURS

These working hours are set and are not negotiable or changeable.

What We Offer

€17 per hour.

Full-time employment – 40 hours per week.

Fully paid breaks.

Staff meals provided while on duty.

Full training provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

Washing pots, pans, dishes and kitchen equipment.

Assisting the Head Chef and kitchen team when required.

Helping with basic food preparation and cooking.

Keeping kitchen workstations and equipment clean and organised.

Cleaning down all kitchen areas at the end of service.

Mopping floors and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.

Following HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures.

What We're Looking For

A reliable, hardworking and punctual individual.

Someone who can work well as part of a team.

Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Previous kitchen or pot-wash experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures would be an advantage.

Ability to work efficiently and maintain cleanliness during busy service periods.
