Summary: PSC by Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Fall 2026 to support the design and development of spacecraft hardware. The intern will collaborate with engineering teams, participate in concept creation, and apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges. Responsibilities: - Support the design and development of spacecraft hardware - Collaborate with engineering teams on hardware build and test campaigns - Participate in concept creation and integration of components - Work closely with a mentor and other department employees - Apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges - Attend 1:1 meetings with mentors for progress updates - Engage in tech talks and networking events with other interns Required Qualifications: - Enrollment in an engineering, physics, or math degree program - Minimum GPA of 3.0 - At least 3 months of applied engineering experience - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for mechanical design - Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis tools - Experience with 3D printing and machining - Ability to work full-time on-site for at least 12 weeks Required Skills: CAD/CAM software, Finite Element Analysis, 3D printing, Machining Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Fall
