PHARMACEUTICAL PROJECT LEAD

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Project Lead to advise clients and coordinate pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP improvement and commercialisation projects.

This client-facing consultancy role requires pharmaceutical expertise, strategic thinking and a strong understanding of manufacturing economics, investment decisions and commercial opportunities. The successful candidate will turn client challenges into practical recommendations, proposals and achievable delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on manufacturing strategy, operational improvement, contract manufacturing and product commercialisation.
• Develop project plans, budgets, milestones and risk management frameworks.
• Coordinate manufacturing scale-up, GMP assessments, remediation and operational readiness.
• Coordinate NAFDAC registration activities and support relevant WHO GMP and Prequalification initiatives with qualified specialists.
• Prepare feasibility studies, business cases, client proposals and investment support documents.
• Assess pharmaceutical manufacturing, asset acquisition and funding-readiness opportunities.
• Support PDIC’s business development through prospect qualification, proposal presentations and identification of further advisory opportunities.
• Manage client relationships, project performance, engagement costs and management reporting.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years’ relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including project coordination or leadership.
• Demonstrated consultancy or advisory experience and strong strategic and commercial judgement.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP and NAFDAC regulatory procedures.
• Ability to connect client needs to our advisory services and develop commercially sound proposals.
• Strong planning, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in scale-up, contract manufacturing, GMP remediation or commercialisation is desirable.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or a similar qualification is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel when required.
