Job Description
Summary: Persistent Systems, LLC is a leading global provider of mobile networking solutions for military, first responder, government, and commercial markets. They are seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern to assist in the research and development of new products and improvements to existing products while working closely with DOD customers.
Responsibilities:
- Managing, deriving, and capturing Product/Program requirements including mechanical and electrical interface design specifications, component requirements, and functional block diagrams
- Supporting software and hardware testing
- Supporting and facilitating engineering projects including new product/solution development, product changes, and customer integration
- Supporting the change management process to ensure all required actions have been completed and that communication to key stakeholders is maintained
- Ensuring quality documentation is updated/created as required, including technical manuals
- Providing support and delivering solutions for rapid development projects
- Modifying and updating requirements documents
- Coordinating preparation of design drawings including updates
- Supporting and facilitating project scheduling
Required Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and have completed at least two years of the program
- Successfully completed at least one course in engineering design
- Successfully completed at least one course in RF theory
- Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Internship experience with Product Development
- Prior Internship experience with systems development, evaluation and requirements capture
- Prior Internship experience with Systems engineering and networking experience
- Knowledge of audio/video encoder/decoders and interfaces
