Job Description
Summary: Pernod Ricard is a global premium spirits and wine company seeking a 2L Legal Intern for their Legal Department. This role will support the Employment, Immigration & Compliance Legal Team, providing hands-on exposure to in-house legal practice, including preparing immigration visa applications and drafting contracts and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys and legal staff with preparing immigration visa applications and supporting documentation
- Support the team with drafting and updating contracts and policies related to employment, compliance, and immigration matters
- Create and refine presentations, training decks, and internal materials to support employee education and compliance guidance
- Conduct legal research and analysis (including using Westlaw) in the areas of employment, compliance, and immigration law, and summarize findings for the team
- Help manage multiple assignments at once by tracking deadlines, organizing work product, and following up on action items
- Work full-time during Summer 2026 and continue supporting the team part-time during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 (15–20 hours/week)
Required Qualifications:
- 2L at an accredited law school with a strong academic record
- Authorized to work in the United States and at least 21 years of age
- Available to work full-time in Summer 2026 and 15–20 hours/week during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
- Prior experience in a legal working environment
- Westlaw competency and strong legal research skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to see both detail and big-picture issues
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback
Preferred Qualifications:
- moot court or law review/journal experience
- coursework and/or experience in employment and/or immigration law
- experience with corporate law and contract analysis/drafting
