Job Description
About Peddler
At Peddler, we focus on making cities more sustainable through fast, smart, and efficient last-mile delivery. By partnering with over 500 local stores on our platform, we strengthen local retailers in our cities and connect them to the consumer demand using innovative technologies. Our established network enables us to offer same-day delivery from individual stores, leading retail chains and globally recognised brands with our 100% electric fleet.
Our mission is to transform current urban logistics into a fully sustainable network - beyond local retail. We achieve this in collaboration with international partners who supply our city hubs, after which we handle the last-mile delivery with our electric fleet. By joining Peddler, you become part of a company that values sustainability and innovation, playing a key role in our mission to transform last-mile delivery.
This role requires Morning or Evening & Saturdays availability.
What you'll do
Hub associates keep the engine up and running: the hubs, in which we store the packages from third parties until they get picked up from our Riders for delivery. They need to be accepted, labeled, sorted and managed. Our couriers and their bikes also need you support to make successful deliveries. You will:
- Label and sort packages according to shipment.
- Quality (and quantity!) control of orders for irregularities.
- Fill out the necessary shipping documents for inventory purposes.
- Support our couriers with their bikes, (un)loading, and any emergencies on-site.
- Ensure the general cleanliness of the hub.
What you'll need
- An MBO or High School Diploma.
- B2-level English (Dutch is nice but not necessary!)
- An electric pallet license (EPT) (Good to have and not a must)
- An eye for quality, safety, and following all security-related rules.
- To be physically fit: you will be walking and lifting a lot.
- Discipline, good organisational skills, and the ability to focus for long periods of time.
- Previous experience working in a hub / logistics would be nice (but not necessary!)
At Peddler, we are always looking for ambitious individuals, from all kinds of backgrounds. Ideally, you will grow within the company from this role, thanks to your proactive, flexible, and service-oriented attitude, your hands-on mentality to contribute to our collective growth, and your commitment to efficiency in your own tasks.
