ABOUT THE COMPANY:

The company is a high-growth, $200M global health, wellness, and supplements e-commerce powerhouse behind leading international consumer brands such as WeightWorld, maxmedix, and Animigo. Operating across 12 to 14 markets—including the UK, Europe, and the US—we drive scale through our proprietary direct-to-consumer (DTC) storefronts alongside leading online marketplaces.

With monthly digital media investments exceeding £2.8M across Google and Meta, and individual country markets generating up to £1M per month, we operate at serious international scale. To accelerate our next phase of growth, we are aggressively expanding our in-house capabilities, elevating commercial rigor, and insourcing agency-managed accounts into an elite, high-velocity internal marketing organization.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Performance Marketing is an executive leadership role engineered for a commercially driven, technically elite growth leader. You will own and scale our international paid acquisition engine, steering an aggressive multi-million-pound media budget across Google Ads and Meta Ads while driving profitable DTC customer acquisition.

This position bridges high-level commercial strategy with deep technical oversight. You will lead the critical transition of externally managed agency campaigns back in-house, establish high-standard testing protocols, and direct distributed execution teams based out of Hyderabad, India. The ideal leader brings proven experience scaling enterprise-grade DTC brands across the UK and Europe, moving beyond vanity metrics to deliver bottom-line contribution margins and enterprise value.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Global Acquisition Strategy & Scale: Architect and execute comprehensive paid acquisition strategies across Google Ads and Meta Ads, managing and deploying monthly budgets in excess of £2.8M across UK, European, and US DTC storefronts.
• Country-Specific Commercial Growth: Build localized, data-led growth roadmaps for 12+ international markets, establishing aggressive targets for net new customer acquisition, customer lifetime value (LTV), blended marketing efficiency ratio (MER), and contribution margins.
• Agency-to-In-House Insourcing: Lead the end-to-end strategic transition of externally managed Google and Meta accounts to internal operational teams, instituting structured operating models, rigorous testing cadences, and continuous knowledge transfer.
• Cross-Border Leadership & Capability Development: Directly lead, mentor, and upskill Google and Meta Ads managers and execution teams located in Hyderabad, India; conduct technical audits, identify skill gaps, and institute high accountability and KPI frameworks.
• Hands-On Technical Governance: Maintain hands-on oversight of account structures, bidding strategies, feed optimization, tracking architectures, and attribution models to proactively troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and elevate execution standards.
• Full-Funnel & Creative Experimentation: Partner closely with Creative, CRM, CRO, and Web Development teams to run rigorous multivariate creative testing, landing page optimizations, and cross-channel funnel experiments to drive conversion rate efficiency.
• Executive Commercial Accountability: Maintain direct ownership of performance marketing P&Ls, reallocating spend away from underperforming segments toward high-yield opportunities, and delivering actionable commercial forecasts directly to the executive leadership team.

• Demonstrated Enterprise Scale: 8+ years of progressive performance marketing experience with substantial senior leadership track records managing £1M+ to £3M+ monthly paid acquisition budgets in high-volume, fast-scaling DTC e-commerce environments.
• UK & European Market Mastery: Proven track record of marketing directly to UK and European consumer bases, demonstrating a deep understanding of localized consumer psychology, purchasing habits, regulatory landscapes, and market-specific nuances.
• Super-Advanced Technical Mastery: Deep, demonstrable technical authority in Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Shopping, YouTube) and Meta Ads ecosystems, including sophisticated audience segmentation, signal optimization, and modern conversion APIs/tracking frameworks.
• Proven Commercial Track Record: Verifiable track record of scaling profitable e-commerce revenue while improving unit economics (CAC, ROAS, MER, LTV, and net contribution profit margins).
• International Leadership & Travel Mobility: Experience leading, managing, and inspiring distributed or offshore technical execution teams, with the willingness to travel frequently to Hyderabad, India, for onboarding, team capability enhancement, and operational alignment.

Preferred

• Insourcing Track Record: Direct, successful experience taking complex multi-brand, multi-region paid media operations from third-party agency management into a self-sufficient in-house engine.
• Industry Domain Experience: Prior leadership experience scaling recognized high-growth consumer brands within health, wellness, dietary supplements, beauty, skincare, or pet wellness verticals.
• Cross-Channel Synergy: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with large-scale Amazon marketplace operations, Retention/CRM teams, and bespoke data engineering units.

What You’ll Bring

• Uncompromising Strategic Ownership: An entrepreneurial, high-agency mentality with the confidence to challenge legacy frameworks, identify operational bottlenecks, and execute needle-moving commercial pivots without needing external direction.
• Executive Commercial Judgment: A relentless focus on net contribution profitability and bottom-line P&L impact over vanity ROAS or uncalibrated spend expansion.
• Technical Rigor & Hands-On Leadership: The rare ability to balance 30,000-foot commercial vision with the technical depth required to audit ad accounts, interrogate bidding mechanics, and inspect campaign data at the granular level.
• Collaborative Cultural Leadership: A committed, team-first management style that motivates distributed talent, bridges regional cultures across the UK, Europe, South Africa, and India, and sets a standard of operational excellence.
