Long-Term Special Education Teacher

Job Goal(s):

To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.

Reports To:

Principal/Vice Principal, Supervisor of SPS

Employment Terms:

Per Diem Position; as needed position

Qualifications:

1. A regular New Jersey teaching certificate or a substitute teacher's certificate issued by the County Superintendent.
2. Teacher of Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification preferred.
3. Successful prior experience as a classroom teacher.
4. Demonstration of familiarity with school, philosophy, program and policies.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary:

Substitute Teacher - County Certificate $150 per diem rate Teaching Certificate: $175 per diem rate
