Job Description
Summary: PACCAR Engine Company is a global leader in the commercial vehicle industry, known for its high-quality trucks and advanced diesel engines. They are seeking a Resident Engineer Intern to assist in process improvements and software experience, working closely with engineering teams on defect reduction and optimization projects.
Responsibilities:
- ECU defect reduction in Hot Test
- Optimization of Software Meetings
- ISO 14229-1
- Software Verification Tool
- Software Update Template
- Engage in Goals, Continuous Improvements & Projects
- Identify Hot Test Process Improvement Opportunities & Document
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing B.S. Degree in Technology or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer)
- MS Office proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint)
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment required
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to study Engineering Drawings and Design Specifications
- Knowledge of SAP & TeamCenter a plus
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of BOM's & Component Structure preferred
- Leadership/Participation in extracurricular engineering related projects or teams
- AutoCAD Experience and Pro-E experience at a basic level
Required Skills: B.S. Degree in Engineering, Software Verification Tool
Important Skills: MS Office proficiency, SAP, AutoCAD Experience
Nice-to-Have Skills: Effective communication skills, work independently, work in a team, Leadership in projects
