Operations Analyst, Plan Loading at Oscar Health in Phoenix, AZ

Summary: Oscar Health is a health insurance company focused on serving members through a technology platform. The Operations Analyst, Plan Loading will support projects aimed at enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of processes through system configuration and collaboration with stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Perform detailed oriented work with a high level of accuracy and adherence to all QA/QC protocols - Experience with designs, builds, and configuration workflows and utilize this knowledge to develop insights into opportunities for workflow improvements - Understand aggregated configuration data to identify updates required and to measure the impact of any changes on internal operations and existing configuration - Load configuration data into the core system accurately and in a timely manner - Use internal tools and technical processes, in particular database querying and benefit or reimbursement configuration concepts - Build SQL queries and translate technical analyses into easily digestible communications to a nontechnical audience - Identify and report on any data/data infrastructure gaps, deficiencies, or irregularities - Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - 1+ years of working knowledge of health plan benefit concepts (e.g., deductibles and other forms of cost sharing, etc.) - 1+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and/or comparable programs within the Google Docs Editors suite (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) - 1+ years of experience manipulating and analyzing large data sets using excel or a similar database language to solve business problems Preferred Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree or 4 years commensurate experience - Working knowledge of medical coding concepts (e.g., CPT, HCPCs and ICD-10 coding) - Proficiency in SQL Required Skills: Health plan benefit concepts, Microsoft Excel, SQL Important Skills: Data analysis, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint Nice-to-Have Skills: Medical coding concepts, Communication skills Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, Paid sick time, Paid parental leave, 401(k) plan participation, Life and disability insurance, Paid wellness time and reimbursements
