Dietary Aide

Pay Rate: $15.00–$16.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and caring Dietary Aide to join our team at our skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The Dietary Aide helps prepare and serve meals to residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals and a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, portioning, and serving according to resident dietary needs.
• Deliver meals and beverages to residents and assist with dining room setup and cleanup.
• Follow special diets, diet orders, and food texture requirements as directed.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, dining areas, and food service equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Store food properly and assist with stocking supplies.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other facility departments.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and food safety procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation

Hourly Pay: $15.00–$16.00, based on experience.
