Job Description
Job Summary
To ensures the reliability and safety of field joint coating equipment by executing preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues, and directing rapid repairs. Minimize operational downtime, manage spare parts inventory, and optimize system performance to control costs and support production goals
Role and Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Design and apply routine service schedules to stop machines from breaking down unexpectedly.
- Record Keeping: Tracking equipment logs, repair histories, and parts.
- Team Guidance: Supervising technicians and working with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Following workplace health and safety rules to protect workers and prevent accidents.
- Project Monitoring: To be the key person in monitor packing list, equipment movement, equipment condition and integrity, equipment assembly and testing, as well as parts and consumables required for projects.
- Leadership: Play a central role in project mob/demob, internal and external audit, predictive and preventive maintenance, and managing technicians in equipment repair and maintenance to by following existing checklists and procedures.
- Proactively maintaining equipment integrity and providing insight as well as improvement ideas.
- Receive goods from suppliers and check quantities/conditions.
- Store and organize inventory properly in the warehouse.
- Issue goods to production, branches, customers, or other departments.
- Record stock movements in an inventory system or Excel.
- Perform stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare documents such as delivery orders, goods received notes (GRN), and stock reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the purchasing team when stock is low.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, production, and suppliers.
- Participate in ISO audit.
- Perform efficiently any other duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or any equivalent.
- Experience: At least two (2) years working in upstream oil and gas, marine, or heavy industrial plant operations, or any related industries.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of asset integrity systems, electrical/mechanical drawings, and problem-solving under pressure in remote locations.
- Language: Good command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge: Advance understanding in servicing and maintaining air compressors and generators is an added advantage.
- Others: Maintenance management, financial management, team-player, good time management.
Key Competencies
- Equipment Upkeep: Run routine inspections, preventive schedules, and predictive monitoring (such as vibration analysis) on rotating and static assets like pumps, generators, and compressors as well as electrical equipment like induction heating machine.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose sudden equipment breakdowns and lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to fix mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues, including create a proper report and record on the analysis.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules, local regulations (like DOSH or OSHA), and industry standards (API, ASME).
- Planning & Documentation: Track maintenance work, manage spare parts inventory, and oversee contractors, and perform physical and digital inventory housekeeping for equipment and inspection tools.
- Warehouse management: Perform monthly inventory stock take and ensure the physical inventory matches the quantity in the system.
Additional Notes
- Ability to travel overseas on short notice when needed.
- Flexibility and readiness to travel back and forth Abu Dhabi and Qatar to support projects.
- Able to work odd hours, when necessary, especially during peak project period.
Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month
