Job Description
About the role
Plan, coordinate and undertake the installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of Nuctech's PA-series photon ore grade analysis systems and associated mechanical and electromechanical equipment. Analyse technical specifications, engineering drawings, system requirements and site conditions; assess equipment performance and determine appropriate installation, commissioning, maintenance and engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electromechanical faults involving accelerator assemblies, shielding structures, klystrons, focusing coils, vacuum systems and associated components, and conduct root-cause analysis to determine appropriate repair, adjustment or modification solutions
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, evaluate equipment condition and recommend component repair, replacement or modification to improve system reliability, safety, maintainability and operational efficiency
- Provide engineering support during equipment assembly and commissioning, including alignment, adjustment, calibration and functional testing, and work with electrical, automation and project engineers to resolve multidisciplinary engineering issues involving control, instrumentation and PLC systems
- Coordinate with customers, project teams and subcontractors, provide technical guidance and on-site engineering support at mining and industrial facilities, and prepare engineering documentation including commissioning, inspection, maintenance, fault-analysis and technical reports
About you
- Bachelor degree majored in automation, electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering
- Good knowledge on automation system, mechanical and electrical control system; ability to analyze and test the electrical and electronic circuit problem
- Knowledge and experience on Siemens PLC
- 2+ years practical experiences in similar duties with strong hands-on skills on tools and practical work
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office and computer
- Background on x-ray machines service or mining equipment is preferred
- Strong communication and coordination skills with fluent English
- Be a team player but must be able to work independently
- Willing to travel in Australia frequently on short notice
- Working in WA for at least two years
Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
