Summary: Northrop Grumman is a leader in aerospace and defense technology, seeking an Aeronautical Integration and Test Engineer – Level 1 or Level 2 to join their team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves supporting the integration and testing of air launched and ground launched vehicles, requiring a mechanical engineering background and experience with complex systems. Responsibilities: - Contributing to the development of detailed work instructions, processes and procedures directing the assembly and test of launch vehicle systems - Ensuring consistent application of assembly processes and philosophies across all products - Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and translate requirements into work instructions - Coordinating integration activities and schedules with operations supervisors, program engineers and various customer organizations - Documenting hardware defects/test anomalies, develop/implement robust and effective corrective actions - Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement and participate in implementation - Supporting launch operations, as required - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with 0 years of professional experience for Level 1 - Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience for Level 2 - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance - Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance - Experience following detailed work instructions, such as complex engineer drawings or blueprints - Skills to write test procedures and review test data to ensure - Hands on integration experience with multiple sub-systems or components Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering - Active Secret DoD Security Clearance - Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred or Solid Works) - Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (iBase-T/Solumina) - Experience or exposure to testing, system integration, and vehicle launch operations Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, System-level Manufacturing Concepts, Reading and Interpreting Engineering Drawings, Writing Test Procedures, Test Data Review, System Integration, Sub-system Integration, 3D CAD Modeling - Siemens NX, 3D CAD Modeling - SolidWorks, Manufacturing Execution Systems - iBase-T, Manufacturing Execution Systems - Solumina, Vehicle Launch Operations, DoD Security Clearance Benefits: Relocation assistance may be available, Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay., Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results., Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives., Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
