They are seeking a Robotics Perception & Anomaly Detection Intern to tackle real-world perception challenges in solar farms, focusing on spotting anomalies and developing practical algorithms for embedded platforms. Responsibilities: - Create methods to detect anomalies in solar modules, cables, and any structural oddities - Develop perception algorithms that utilize vision and/or point clouds - Generate and leverage synthetic data (through simulation, augmentation, and procedural generation) to enhance model robustness and coverage - Prepare datasets, set evaluation metrics, and analyze any failure cases - Work closely with autonomy and field teams, ensuring that results are documented clearly Required Qualifications: - Currently in final year or recently graduated with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a related field - Ability to commit to a 10–12-week internship beginning May 18, 2026 (Group 1) or June 15, 2026 (Group 2) - Availability to work full-time onsite in Fremont, CA Required Skills: Perception algorithms, Anomaly detection, Synthetic data generation Important Skills: Camera image processing, Point cloud analysis
